How well do you know LA?

I got this email….

Hey Miles,

They’re using a “RD” in a compilation about cities. Since our song is about LA, they want to know our 4 favorite spots in LA. Could you represent us? I don’t know much, but if i had to say something, I would say the LA river and maybe also the smell. That leaves 2 or 3 spots for you to please fill in?

These were the first things that came to mind:

1. The bench at the top of Runyon Canyon.

2. Wurstküche, the best damn sausages in LA.

3. The Varnish, for hot buttered rum on a cold night.

4. The Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax, for everything from Korean
BBQ to french crepes. Crazy cheap.

5. King King “the Floor”, for dancing.

6. Hotel Cafe, for live music.

7. Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market, biggest garage sale ever. * , *

8. First Fridays at the Natural History Museum, for Indie music and dinosaurs. * , *

9. The Bicycle Kitchen, for bikes and community.

10. Griffith Park, for stars. *
